Beyond The Guardrail > One day, we took the bus to the pueblo (town) of El Quelite, about an hour from Mazatlán. After lunch in the best restaurant for miles around, we walked through town for a while, then returned to sit on the terrace in front of the restaurant waiting for our return bus. Nice afternoon!
Beyond The Guardrail > Lee & Diane, sitting on the seawall on Olas Altas beach, the closest beach to the historical central of Mazatlán. It was chilly out for those of us with 'tropical blood' running through our veins!
Beyond The Guardrail > Diane & Lloyd walked on the Malecon every morning, but my favorite time to be on the Malecon (ocean front boardwalk) is sunset.
Beyond The Guardrail > Bienvenidos a Mazatlán, Diane & Lloyd!!
Beyond The Guardrail > No one visits me without being introduced to Lupe Loco's Restaurant on the beach! The food's good. Drinks are cold. View is spectacular. And, Lupe's staff is friendly and accommodating. Lupe's is one of our favorite places to relax and enjoy good company and good food.
Beyond The Guardrail > Lloyd, Lee, Diane, Marcel and Suzanne.... how's that for a LeBlanc lineup?! Marcel and Suzanne live in Mazatlán, also, and we connected via the internet. Marcel was born on the farm adjoining our Grandpa's farm in Nouvelle, PQ! Small world, isn't it?
